WordPress Doesn’t Have to Look Like a Blog

I’m frequently asked if WordPress can be used for more then just blogging? It is much more than a platform for blogging. Whether you’re configuring one if it’s countless themes out-of-the-box or customizing the design, WordPress is a proven tool for developing beautiful interactive websites for mid-size businesses.

It Ain’t Just for Blogging Anymore

WordPress is amazing and well known as a blogging software. But, it’s also the easiest to deploy, design and self-administer (CMS). Plus, it’s the best system for out-of-the-box SEO (Search Engine Optimization). Consider it if you need an affordable brand-oriented business website. It doesn’t have to look like a blog.  It doesn’t have to look like a template.

A few links to places that explain how to turn your WP site into something more than a blog would have been nice.

Hi Doug – I’ll look and see if I can find any. We typically deal with that as our service.

You build WP sites? I didn’t know that. I could use some marketing advice myself. My WP site has just been sitting there since I built it.

    Agree totally. WP rocks.
Our website (www.maconraine.com) is WP, another good one is GetMeTheRightJob.com – the only downside are the hacks. Lots of WP exploits. Make sure you upgrade your site on a regular basis and use all the security related plugins.

My daughter is developing mine and I’d say it’s kickass. It’s not done, but close: http://www.joannesimons.com

This is great. I have so many clients that even with the overflowing benefits of WordPress they think they have to have a blog style website. Oh how it isn’t true. Sure, WordPress is awesome at blogs and zoomed out makes one awesome CMS for personal and business websites.

I’ve seen a couple of WP that doesn’t really look like a blog at all. You just need to have a little understanding of HTML and CSS…
