Sorry for late reply. Facebook pages are terrific for making people feel special and having special conversations with your fans. It can be a destination site and as pseudo-blog if you already have fans. But, nothing beats a free-standing blog engine for purposes of content syndication, SEO and inbound marketing to folks who don't know yet.

I tried to start a blog three times before I finally found the right tool to help me make it stick. Those marketers like my former self, who find themselves becoming bogged down in decisions over what the blog looks like, and how it will be structured, etc., need to "just get over yourself" and find a tool that will help you make it happen first of all.

For me, that tool was finally found in Posterous (www.posterous.com) due ot the ability to just create an email, attach my photos, videos, mp3s, etc. and send it off. I know I can clean it up a few minutes later on the site, making edits as required very easily, and yet the tool doesn't get in my way of using something I know very well (my Gmail account) to compose my entries. Simple wins.

Like my friend and longtime blogger Mike Rohde told me--it's only important that whatever you choose, you keep on writing!

I'm having fun with it. And as long as that's happening, I know I'll keep on writing.
